Walter R. “Wally” Clussman

Walter R.
“Wally” Clussman, 57, of rural Waupun, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at his
home.

 

Wally was
born November 28, 1957 in Wisconsin Rapids, the son of LaVerne and Charlotte
Mehlbrech Clussman. Wally was a graduate of Waupun High School. On December 1,
1989 he married Joyce Veenendaal Schumacher. The couple resided in the Waupun
area all their married lives. He was employed at National Rivet and
Manufacturing in Waupun for 38 years. Wally and Joyce enjoyed many car trips
with Door County a favorite destination. He was very proud of his children and
enjoyed time spent with them. He loved his grandchildren, watching them grow
and attending their activities. He loved his mother dearly. He will be deeply
missed by his wife and entire family. He enjoyed fun times fishing with friend,
Steve McDowell, and any and every time spent with best friend, Gary Van Buren.
Wally was a member of Alto Reformed Church.

 

Wally is
survived by his wife of 25 years, Joyce Clussman  of rural Waupun; three sons: Jeremy (Kelli)
Clussman of Appleton, Ryan (fiancée, Stephanie Kingma) Clussman of Madison, and
Daniel (Kari) Schumacher of Cambria; a daughter, Amy Schumacher and Sylvester
Sherden of Waupun; eight grandchildren: Emma and Thomas Clussman, Derek, Lydia,
and Sarah Schumacher, and Miles, Lorenzo, and Talaya Sherden; his mother,
Charlotte Hagen of Waupun; two brothers: Keith Clussman of Wisconsin Rapids and
Brad Clussman of Mesa, AZ; four sisters: Angie (Karl) Navis of Waupun, Julie
(Kevin) O’Day of Wisconsin Rapids, Carrie (Kevin) Huff of Wisconsin Rapids, and
Beth (Bill) Skees of Tomahawk; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill (Kathy)
Veenendaal of rural Waupun and Darlene Miller of Sardis, Georgia; and aunts,
uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

 

Wally was preceded in
death by his father, LaVerne Clussman and step-mother, Lorraine Clussman and
step-father, Vern Hagen; a brother, Gerald Clussman; and sister, Ruth Clussman.

 

Funeral services for Wally
Clussman will be held Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Alto Reformed Church
with Rev. Ted Lindman and Rev. Ted Medema officiating.  Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery. Friends
and relatives of Wally Clussman may call on the family on Sunday at the
Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 4-7 p.m. and on Monday at the church
from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
