William “Bill” Mitchell

 

William “Bill” Mitchell, 81,
of Eldorado, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015, at his residence.

 

He was born on August 19,
1933, in Fond du Lac, a son of John and Lillian (Bebow) Mitchell.  He was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High
School.

 

Bill served with the United
States Navy on the U.S.S. Charles Sperry. He was employed at Mercury Marine for
36 years.

 

Bill was united in marriage
to Alice Hensel on May 30, 1956, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in
Eldorado.  He was a lifelong member of
Church of Peace in Fond du Lac.

 

He was an avid Green Bay
Packer fan, being a season ticket holder for many years, going to games in
Milwaukee and Green Bay.  He also enjoyed
fishing and visiting with friends at Lakeside Park, bowling, golfing, and gardening.

 

Survivors include his wife of
58 years, Alice; two children:  John
(Nancy) Mitchell and Susan Mitchell; two sisters:  Marion Wohler and Bette Hall; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Bill was preceded in death by
his parents; two brothers-in-law:  Eldon
Wohler and Robert Hall.

 

Private funeral services are
being planned with burial at Estabrooks Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be directed to
Agnesian Hospice Hope or Church of Peace.

 

Bill’s family extends their
heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Hospice Hope for their wonderful care
