10-Yr Old Struck By Vehicle, Suffers Injuries

A 10-yr old running into traffic without warning was struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon.

The Fond du Lac Police Department responded Wednesday (February 9, 2022) at approximately 3:28 p.m., to the area of Ellen Lane and Old Pioneer Road, located two blocks east of Pier School, for a report of a 10-year-old child struck by a vehicle.

Preliminary investigation showed the child was originally walking eastbound alongside the road on Old Pioneer Road, while a 27-year-old Fond du Lac resident was operating a vehicle heading west on Old Pioneer Road.

The child ran into traffic without warning and was struck by the vehicle.

The child was transported by Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue to SSM Health (St. Agnes) with minor injuries.

A disturbance started by an uninvolved individual at the scene resulted in a 22-yearold Milwaukee resident being arrested. He was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail and is being held on a Disorderly Conduct charge.
