21 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Over Weekend In FDL County

Is this an anomaly? Or is this a sign of things to come as we inch ever closer to possible reductions in the “Safer At Home” order set to expire May 26? It’s too early to tell, but the numbers over the weekend are a cause for concern. FDL County Health Officer Kim Mueller announced Monday morning there were twenty one new confirmed cases of COVID-19 uncovered, with six of the cases proven to have come from one specific gathering. With the increase in new cases, Mueller was quick to point out there were still only two hospitalized as a result of coronavirus. The complete local and statewide numbers will be released later Monday afternoon.
