24-Hour Coverage Returning To State Patrol Post In Fond du Lac

It’s been about four years since the State Patrol dispatch center in Fond du Lac was staffed 24-hours a day.

That should change by mid-2022.

The Wisconsin State Patrol Northeast Wisconsin region dispatch center is based in Fond du Lac, and oversees 11 counties, operating between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. The rest of the time, the incoming calls are sent to the center in Milwaukee.

The return to 24-hour dispatching also means a return to dispatchers who know the local area much better, and should be able to relay information in a much timlier fashion.

There are currently four dispatchers at the Fond du Lac dispatch center, with one more in training. The goal is to increase that number to 9.

If you’re interested in applying for a position, you’ll need to hurry. The application process for the current openings closes on December 13. No experience is necessary.
