4th Case Of Monkeypox Identified In WI

Wisconsin has its first case of Monkeypox outside of Madison and Milwaukee.

Health officials in Langlade County say they’ve come up with a positive test for the virus, though they haven’t said where the person lives or how they may come down with it.

This marks the 4th case of the disease to be reported statewide, and the third this week. Despite the news they maintain that the risk to the public remains low.

Although they are asking residents to familiarize themselves with the symptoms of the disease- Fever, chills, swollen lymph nodes, and an unexplained rash that develops into hard, pus-filled skin lesions.
