8-Year Old Boy Latest Victim In Waukesha Tragedy

The death toll from Sunday’s tragic Christmas Parade in Waukesha rose to six on Tuesday when it was announced that 8-year old Jackson Sparks had passed away at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Jackson was marching in the parade with his baseball team, the Waukesha Blazers.

Jackson’s older brother, 12-year old Tucker, was also struck Sunday, and remains in ICU.

A GoFundMe page was started to assist the family, and as of Wednesday morning, had topped the $315,000 mark.

A total of over 60 people were injured in the chaos Sunday, which happened when Darrell Brooks, Jr. drove through the parade route at a high rate of speed, smashing into parade participants and spectators. The 39-year old Brooks was in court Tuesday afternoon where he was charged with 5 counts of first-degree intentional homicide. It is expected that count will go up to 6. Each of the 5 counts carries a mandatory life sentence in prison.

Bail was set at $5 million.
