A Murder In Ft. Wayne, IN Results In FDL Woman Being Arrested

A stabbing incident in Fort Wayne, Indiana has finally resulted in an arrest of a female in Fond du Lac. Fort Wayne Police announced, and Assistant Chief of Operations with the FDL Police Department Steve Klein has confirmed that homicide detectives made an arrest in a cold case stemming from a 2002 stabbing that left a 17-year-old girl dead.

Police arrested 33-year-old Holly Boisvert for the murder of Stacy Degrandchamp, who was stabbed to death August 15 of 2002. Her death was ruled a homicide, and was unsolved for almost 17 years. After almost a year of investigating prior evidence, police were able to piece together enough to secure an arrest warrant.

According to police reports, Boisvert had a fight with Degrandchamp that ended with Degrandchamp being stabbed multiple times. Autopsy reports concluded that a knife Boisvert gave detectives, was consistent with the same type of weapon that was used in the stabbing of Degrandchamp. Boisvert will now be transported back to Fort Wayne where she will appear in court on murder charges.
