A Very Good Year For The FDL School District

Fond du Lac Schools Superintendent Jim Sebert feels the district had a very good year in 2016. He says they were very happy with the results of school report cards they received from the state’s Department of Public Instruction this fall. He says it gave them a nice feeling about the work they’ve done over the past few years and showed positive results and trends. He says the Career Construction Academy at the High School is going to be a plus for the district. He says the project has a lot of momentum and is an avenue for kids to have a future that is bright. He says it will also help local employers. Approximately 62 percent of the $1.1 million needed to build the facility for the academy has been raised. Recently C.D. Smith and Associated General Contractors each donated $75,000 toward the project. Sebert says students have also shown talent and promise whether performing in school plays or the athletic field.
