Accident Near Rosendale Injures Two

A Wednesday morning accident remains under investigation. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies were called out at 7:20a.m. Wednesday for reports of a two-vehicle crash with injuries on CTH M, north of Triangle Rd. near Rosendale. Initial investigation shows a passenger car was northbound on CTH M, crossed the centerline and struck a minivan headed southbound on CTH M. Witnesses reported seeing the northbound passenger car operating left of the center line when it struck the southbound minivan. 

The driver and lone occupant of the northbound passenger car, a 28-year-old male from Waupun, had to be pulled from the vehicle, and was transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah by ThedaStar Air Medical Helicopter with serious injuries. The 45-year old female from Pickett, operating the southbound minivan that was struck was not injured. An 11-year-old male traveling in the southbound vehicle was transported to ThedaCare where he was treated and released, while a 9-year-old male also traveling in the vehicle was not injured.

Investigation also shows the operator of the northbound passenger car was not wearing a seatbelt, while the operator of the southbound minivan was restrained with the use of a seatbelt. It was not known if the two male passengers in the minivan were wearing seatbelts at the time.  

Assisting at the scene was Village of Rosendale Police Department, Town of Ripon Police Department, Rosendale First Responders, Rosendale Fire Department and Ripon Ambulance. CTH M was closed between Fletcher Rd and Triangle Rd for approximately 1.5 hours.
