Accident Shuts Down I-41 – Update

Five people were injured including two with life threatening injuries after a four vehicle accident on the southbound lanes of Interstate 41 near County OO on Wednesday afternoon.  The Wisconsin State Patrol says just before 2pm,  a 2002 Buick slowed for road construction and was struck from behind by a 2015 International truck causing a chain reaction.  The Buck pushed into a 2003 Chevrolet truck, which then hit a 1998 Infiniti.  The driver of the Buick, 72-year old Sudhakar Ingle was transported to St. Agnes Hospital with life threatening injuries.  The passenger, 69-year-old Neelima Ingle was transported to Theda Clark via Flight For Life with life threatening injuries.  The International truck driver, 24-year-old Adam Burlock of Milwaukee and driver of the Chevy truck, 47-year-old Christopher Rouse of Hartford were transported to St. Agnes with non-life threatening injuries.  The diver of the Infiniti, 64-year-old Kathryn Thompson of Appleton was not injuried.  Her passenger, 66-year-old Sandra R. Thompson of Little Chute was taken to St. Agnes with non-life threatening injuries.  The incident closed I-41 until about 2pm until 8pm last night. The investigation continues.
