Accidental Shooting In Germantown
Washington County Sheriff’s officials
say a 19-year-old Germantown man shot himself in the left hand while cleaning
his gun Friday evening. The Sheriff’s office was notified by Menomonee Falls
Police who were with the teen at Community Memorial Hospital. The teen told
deputies and detectives he was home alone in his apartment above a business in
the Town of Germantown cleaning his gun. While putting the gun back together it
went off and the round struck him in the hand. The bullet did not penetrate the
apartment or cause damage to the business below. Officials say the discharge was
accidental and the man will not be facing criminal charges.
