Adults Should Get Booster Shot, Says DHS Acting Secretary

Public health officials say all adults in Wisconsin should get a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says it’s backing the recommendation from the Centers from Disease Control and Prevention.

Acting D-H-S secretary Karen Timberlake says booster shots are one more layer of protection against the coronavirus, and the Omicron variant. Close to a-million adults in Wisconsin have had a booster shot. That’s about a-third of all people in the state who’ve had at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
