Aerospace Industry Alive And Well In FDL County Area

Several Fond du Lac County companies were recently highlighted in Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch’s newsletter. This particular edition had to do with the Aerospace Industry. Kleefisch talked about last week’s visits to Fives Giddings & Lewis and the Fond du Lac County Airport in Fond du Lac, and Patriot Taxiway in Lomira. Giddings & Lewis makes the machines that make airplane engines and other aviation-related equipment. At the airport Wausau Equipment, which also has a plant in New Berlin, makes huge plows and de-icing trucks for airport runways. At Patriot Taxiway makes LED lights, the latest shipment will be used for Marine One the President’s helicopter. (State of Wisconsin photos)
