Fond du Lac is haven to about 160 outdoors writers this week for the 57th annual Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writer’s fall conference. It began Monday and runs through Thursday. Craig Molitor, President of the Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, says they will use material they gather while in Fond du Lac to write about the area over the next year. He says story lines will be written about Lake Winnebago, the Horicon Marsh, the Kettle Moraine and surrounding area. Molitor says anyone with ideas for stories should contact Erin Lund at their office at (920) 923-3010. The conference is being headquartered at the Holiday Inn in Fond du Lac. The event will be capped off Thursday with the afternoon Coleman Cooking challenge and an annual auction that evening.
