Agnesian Health Care is helping families in need for the
Thanksgiving holiday by donating turkeys. For the past four years, Agnesian has
provided a free turkey to all of its employees to enjoy on Thanksgiving.
Employees have the option to donate their turkey for distribution to area food
pantries. A news release says turkeys were donated on November 15th
to eight food pantries in Fond du Lac, Oakfield, Ripon and Waupun, in addition
to interested clients at Adult Day Services. In all, 288 turkeys were donated
to those in need.

“Each year, we enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to
share this special gift with our employees to show how much we value their
dedication and commitment to serving our patients, residents and their
families,” Dawn Vandenberg, regional director for Mission Integration said. “We
also know that there are many individuals and families that are struggling to
make ends meet, and if these turkey donations can help in some way, we continue
to fulfill our mission of meeting the needs of the poor and vulnerable.”
