Agnesian HealthCare Offers Summer Student Volunteer Program

Summer is fast approaching, and Agnesian HealthCare’s Volunteer Services will have many opportunities for students that will be age 15 or older by June 1, 2017.

The summer volunteer program helps students to gain valuable insight into the healthcare industry. Students work alongside associates and other volunteers in a variety of healthcare settings. Volunteer positions include working in the gift shops, directing guests at the information desks, hospitality, patient transporting, laundry and serving meals. In exchange for two to four hours a week, students gain new skills while developing good work habits.

The summer student volunteer program begins in June, when students get out of school, and ends the last week of August.

Students interested in participating in Summer Student Volunteer Program must apply online. All first-time student applicants must attend an interview session. Returning student applicants, with participation last summer, do not need to interview. Students only need to attend one session.

For convenience, multiple sessions are scheduled at St. Agnes Hospital during most spring break periods, as well as one session at Ripon Medical Center. Sessions will start promptly on the hour, with a brief overview. Parents are welcome to attend.
