Agnesian HealthCare Volunteers Award Scholarships

Six area students who intend to pursue careers in healthcare have been awarded scholarships from the Agnesian HealthCare Volunteers.

            Scholarship recipients were chosen from among area high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in healthcare.

            Winners of the $1,000 scholarships are:

McKenna Ryan (pictured) is a senior at Oakfield High School. She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee to pursue an occupational therapy career.

Kelsey Rae Thompson is a senior at Waupun Area Junior High School. She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and Bellin College to pursue a nursing career.

Amanda Eilbes is a senior at Mayville High School, and plans to attend Marquette University to pursue a nursing career.

Parker Lee Grimes is a senior at Horace Mann High School, and plans to attend the University of Wisconsin – Madison to pursue a career as an oncologist.

            Alissabeth Wegner, of Brandon, is a $500 scholarship winner. She is a senior at Laconia High School, and plans to attend Madison Area Technical College to pursue a career as a dental hygienist.

Lauren Kottke, of Fond du Lac, is a $500 scholarship winner. She is a senior at Immanuel Lutheran High School, and plans to attend Northeast Wisconsin Technical College to pursue a career in medical sonography.
