Agnesian Welcomes New Ophthalmologist

Agnesian HealthCare welcomes Adam Strittmatter, DO, an ophthalmologist (eye care surgeon) to the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, 421 Camelot Drive in Fond du Lac. He will begin seeing patients on July 20, 2015.

Dr. Strittmatter specializes in comprehensive eye care and provides examinations, diagnosis and treatment for a variety of eye disorders. He is especially interested in cataract surgery, medical retina, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration.

He received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and his residency training in ophthalmology from Ohio University, Doctors Hospital.

“I look at the patient as a whole,” says Dr. Strittmatter. “It’s important for patients to be involved in their healthcare ensuring that there is open communication, education and an overall comfort level with the plan of care.”

Dr. Strittmatter has relocated to Fond du Lac with his wife, Elizabeth Strittmatter, DO, a family medicine provider who will also be joining Agnesian HealthCare later this year. He enjoys golfing, biking, hiking, salsa dancing and Pittsburgh sports.

“I’m excited to become engrained into the community and get involved. I plan to call this home,” says Dr. Strittmatter.

Dr. Strittmatter joins other eye care physicians, including Clarence Tam, MD, ophthalmologist, and optometrists – Pamela Gehl Brown, OD; Benjamin Scoresby, OD; Kimberly Schweiger, OD, and Nina Sera, OD.
