Agnesian Welcomes Treffert Center Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Agnesian HealthCare welcomes Tamara Langhoff, APNP, a pediatric nurse practitioner, to the Treffert Center, 371 E. 1st Street in Fond du Lac.

Langhoff evaluates and manages children with a variety of diagnoses including anxiety, depression, autism and ADHD. In her role, she will consult and coordinate care with primary care physicians, evaluate patients, prescribe medications, and educate patients and their families on their specific diagnoses.

Langhoff joins the multidisciplinary team at the Treffert Center including occupational therapy, speech language therapy, psychotherapy and autism services.

She will work with Tom Fabricius, MD, who is providing medical direction for the Treffert Center Clinic.

“I believe that parents know their child best,” says Langhoff. “My goal is to learn about the child through the parents’ eyes, their strengths and challenges, and then build a treatment plan together. I see myself as a partner with the parent and child.”

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Nursing, Langhoff earned her pediatric nurse practitioner degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has spent the past 18 years working at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee in the neurology and most recently psychiatry departments.

Langhoff enjoys sports of all kinds, spectating Packers football and Admirals hockey, and participating in running, yoga, kickboxing and swimming. She also enjoys adventure sports, such as skydiving and zip lining.

“I consider this new venture at the Treffert Center my next great adventure, jumping off into the unknown, with the goal to create a great program for children with behavioral health and special healthcare needs. I am very excited to be here,” Langhoff says.
