Agreement Approved With FDL Police Supervisory Association

The Fond du Lac City Council this week unanimously approved a two-year agreement with the Fond du Lac Police Supervisory Association, the group that represents lieutenants and captains with the police department. Labor Relations Coordinator Chad Wade informed the Council that they will get a 3.75 percent increase in pay each year of the agreement. That is a little more than the local police union received, but will help address recruitment concerns. Wade says the agreement will also replace the post-retirement year of free health insurance benefit with a new plan that caps the post retirement benefit. He pointed out the two-year agreement will also put the police, fire and transit unions on the same bargaining schedule.
