AHC Foundation Supports Medical Needs For SWAT Team Members

The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation is supporting the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team by funding 15 individual medical kits and additional medical supplies for the team’s Tactical Protector Vehicle (TPV) mass casualty kit. Sheriff Mick Fink says, “Due to the high level of danger, EMS personnel will not enter a hot zone to provide medical care. SWAT operators must carry their own lifesaving medical supplies for emergency treatment of wounds to innocent civilians, themselves, other operators and suspects that may be injured in the hot zone.” Thanks to the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation donation of $3,500, each SWAT operator will now have a medical kit with them, as well as additional supplies for the TPV trauma kit, to be used in the event of a mass casualty incident. The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation is just beginning its 2014 annual appeal, which will help support the Unrestricted Fund. Individuals and businesses interested in giving can call the Foundation at (920) 926-4959.
