Alliance Laundry Systems Expansion Approved

The board of directors for Alliance Laundry Systems has approved a $62.6 million expansion project that will keep the commercial laundry equipment maker in Ripon. The project will be aided by state, county, and city incentives. Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation President Steve Jenkins says this is the third and largest expansion they’ve worked with the company on. The project adds 225,000 square feet of new buildings including a new warehouse, manufacturing space and new corporate headquarters. Ripon Mayor Gary Will says they are creating a new Tax Incremental District in the City’s business park to aid the project. County Executive Al Buechel says the distribution center that will be located in the Ripon Business Park could have been located anywhere. He says that’s why they offered incentives to the company to make their investment in Ripon. The expansion is expected to create 200 new jobs.
