American Education Week

The Fond du Lac School Board this week heard about four proclamations, the majority of which are tied into American Education Week. One proclamation celebrated the week, another for National Education Support Professionals Day, which is today and a third is for National Substitute Educators Day which is Friday. District Superintendent Jim Sebert says hundreds of employees contribute to the education of students in the district every day. There are over 800 total employees in the district. A fourth proclamation was from Governor Scott Walker proclaiming this week as “Gifted Education Week.” Sebert says often they are working to help students that aren’t achieving, but this proclamation celebrates students who achieve at a much more accelerated rate.
