Amity School Placed In Lockdown Thursday

A pair of violent students were the cause of a lockdown at Amity School Thursday afternoon.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department was notified Thursday (2/3/2022) just before 12:35 p.m. that two 8th grade students were throwing items at a teacher.

There no weapons displayed, but the two male students were roaming the halls. Out an abundance of caution, staff and students were locked down in classrooms throughout the school.

Sherriff’s logs did show there were no injuries reported but the matter remains under investigation.

Amity School Amity School is located within the Waupun School District boundary and operates under the management of CESA 6.  It is not part of the Rosendale-Brandon School District. KFIZ incorrectly identified the proper district in the original release.
