Apprenticeships Help Build The Workforce

State Senator Dan Feyen feels technical colleges will help with the worker shortage area businesses are experiencing. Manufacturing is a major job provider in the 18th State Senate District and Feyen believes technical colleges will especially aid in that component of the workforce. Feyen says the apprenticeships that students serve in while in school also are paths to employment and good paying jobs. He says after about five years at the end of the apprenticeship those students could have a job that pays as much as $70,000 a year.
