Area Wrestlers Earn Academic All-State Honors

Area wrestlers have been named to the Academic All-State
team by Crossface Wisconsin. Teams are divided into Freshman/Sophomore and
Junior/Senior categories. From the North Fond du Lac/St. Mary’s Springs Co-Op
program, Freshmen Andrew Forsythe and Marcus Orlandoni were named to the First
Team All-State Academic Team. Orlandoni earned a 4.0 GPA and a 26-11 record
while Forsythe earned a 3.95 GPA with a 31-5 record. Also from the
Oriole-Ledger team, Dalton Fritch was named second team All-State as a
sophomore and Abraham Giebel was named third team All-State in the
Junior/Senior division.

Other wrestlers named to the Academic All-State team
include sophomore Noah Danner of Lomira, who earned second team honors. Also
from Lomira High School, senior Chase Parr was named to the First Team
All-State Academic Team, senior Adam Kinyon earned second team honors. Senior
Tyler Garriety and junior Matt Hanke were named Honorable Mention Academic
All-State.
