Arson Will Not Be Tolerated In FDL

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue Chief Peter O’Leary says they won’t tolerate people intentionally setting fires in the City. Twenty-eight-year-old Colin Habram of Fond du Lac was charged Wednesday with setting his home on fire at 410 Ellis Street last week. Chief O’Leary says police and fire investigators and fire marshals from the state Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation knew there was something fishy about the fire as they began looking into a cause. He says fires put those who respond to them and neighbors at risk, and if it’s suspicious there will be consequences for those who might have set the fire. O’Leary says they will be comprehensive in investigating what appears to be an intentionally set blaze to make sure those responsible aren’t able to get away with it. Bond was set at $50,000 cash for Habram who is charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor. A cat and dog died in the fire.
