Attempted Armed Robbery At FDL Speedway Superamerica

Fond du Lac Police are looking for a man who tried to rob the Speedway Superamerica store on West Johnson Street early Thursday morning. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says the man was wearing a ski mask. He had a pocket knife when he demanded money from the register. But the clerk didn’t give him any money and he fled on foot heading west. No one was injured during this incident. Klein says they used a K-9 to try and track the man. The dog tracked the man for a block or more before losing the scent. Fond du Lac Police are looking for a man who tried to rob the Speedway Superamerica store on West Johnson Street early Thursday morning. According to police  the man was wearing a ski mask. He had a pocket knife when he demanded money and threatened to come around the counter at the clerk. But he fled on foot without any money. No one was injured during this incident. The area was searched using a police K-9, but the suspect wasn’t located. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the search.  The suspect was described as a black man who is 25 to 30-years-old, about 5 foot 10 inches to 6 foot 1 inches tall with a thin build.
