Attorney General Challenger Kaul Outraised Incumbent Schimel in August

New campaign finance reports are showing the Democratic candidate for attorney general outraised incumbent Republican Brad Schimel in August. In the reports released this week – Josh Kaul’s campaign says he raised $217,000 and had $917,000 on hand, while spending about $49,000 last month. Schimel raised $166,000, but had $1.1 million on hand. He also spent over $98,000 in the month of August. The Republican Attorneys General Association launched a television ad this week, ripping Kaul as inexperienced. Kaul has been traveling around the state meeting with supporters in person – but has yet to put up any TV ads.
