Authorities release name of Pedestrian Killed in the Town of Calumet

The Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the woman killed when she was hit by a pickup truck in the Town of Calumet last night.  36 year old Kimberly Parker died when she stepped into Highway 151 – Investigators say she’d just left a restaurant, walked down the front steps, across the sidewalk, and into traffic, where she was hit.  Parker died at the scene.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office
responded to the intersection of US Highway 151 and County Highway W just after
5:30 pm. Reports say Parker, from Kaukauna, had just left a restaurant
in the area when she walked down the front steps of the building and onto the
sidewalk. She then entered the southbound lane of Highway 151 when she was hit
by the pickup. The pickup driver, a
31-year-old man from New Holstein and two passengers were not injured. Highway
151 was closed between County HH and Johnsburg Road for just over a half hour
while crews worked at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office says alcohol and speed do
not appear to be a factor for the driver of the pickup.
