WIAA State Semifinals:

Division 6:

St. Mary’s Springs 13, Mondovi 0

–It’s back to Camp Randall for the Ledgers – who came out on top in a defensive battle at Medford High School in the Division Six State Semifinals. The game was scoreless at halftime, and remained scoreless until 2:04 left in the third quarter – when Marcus Orlandoni scored from one yard out to make it 7-0. The Ledgers would make it a two-score game with 7:15 left in the game on a 62-yard touchdown pass from Braydon King to David Mueller. The Ledgers defense would recover a fumble by Mondovi at the one yard line and were able to subsequently run out the clock. It’s the third shutout in a row for the Ledger defense, after blanking Johnson Creek and Racine Lutheran the last two weeks.
