Baker Cheese Named 2020 Dairy Plant Of the Year

They started making cheese back in 1916, and back then it was just cheddar that was being produced, Now, 104 years later, and up to 3 million pieces of string cheese being produced daily, Baker Cheese of St. Cloud can add “Dairy Plant of the Year” to their long list of accomplishments. Brian Baker, President of Baker Cheese, says they were “pretty surprised and very excited about it.” Baker Cheese was one of 12 plants nominated across the country, and was awarded the recognition by national trade publication, Dairy Foods. Baker says the recognition is a “total plant effort, and I am proud of their commitment to creating superior string cheese.” The family-owned and operated business is the 2nd-largest stand-alone string cheese maker in the country.
