Baldwin Says Federal Funds Available For PFAS Assistance

As the city of Wausau tries to figure out how best to handle a city wide PFAS contamination in its water supply, US Senator Tammy Baldwin says there’s federal aid available. Some of that funding came as part of the recently passed Infrastructure Bill.

“There will be further opportunities for communities who have identified PFAS to receive assistance and funding from the federal government to deal with that issue.”

Democrat Baldwin says that remediation and treatment funding is available, and that more testing will be necessary to make sure that the state’s drinking water remains clean for future generations.
