Ballweg Bill Moves On To State Senate

The State Assembly last week passed a bill authored by State Representative Joan Ballweg. Assembly Bill 253 will improve the process for the recording of deeds following a sheriff’s sale. Ballweg says it will eliminate confusion by making sure deeds are actually transferred and recorded in a timely manner.  In addition, the bill requires that all foreclosure sale notices include the street address of the property to be sold and the sum of the judgment. The bill has moved on to the State Senate for consideration.
