BBB Of WI Says Beware When Donating To Ukrainian Causes

Before you make a donation to help out people in Ukraine, make sure you know where your money will be going.

Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin President Jim Temmer says that unfortunately, tragedies like war will bring out scammers looking to make a quick buck off of people’s generosity, so be wary of sudden crowdfunding requests.

“If you’re going to engage in crowdfunding the safest thing is to give to someone you personally know or trust.”

Temmer says that right now, it’s best to stick to larger groups like the Red Cross or Doctors Without Borders, groups that have the infrastructure to get help where’s it’s needed.
