BBBS Gets Unexpected Donation

The Fond du Lac County Child Support Agency recently held a fundraiser at their tri-county program.  Gift baskets containing items donated by the Fond du Lac Community, were raffled off with all proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

“We received a call out of the blue from the FDL County Child Support Agency asking if they could stop by to drop off their donation,” said Tammy Young, Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Fond du Lac County.  “Our theme for the year has been ‘It takes a village to raise a child.’ A donation of time, money or talent no matter the size, makes a BIG difference in the lives of the children in the BBBS program. Terra, Mary, Margie and Nancy stopped by with the donation and left me completely speechless.  They managed to raise $1235!  I was completely overwhelmed by this unplanned gift.  The generosity of the agency and the people that work there is absolutely fantastic!”
