Beaver Dam Firefighters Battle Marsh Fire

Beaver Dam Firefighters responded to an out of control marsh fire at N6301 Wren Road late Sunday morning. The home there is owned by Randy Hupf. The marsh fire was approximately three acres in size at the time. Multiple fire units were staged at four different homes to protect them as winds shifted in direction. Seven fire departments battled the fire, which ended up burning 100 acres of marsh but damaged no homes.
