Beaver Dam Man Sentenced To 3 Yrs. Prison

A Beaver Dam man will spend three years in prison and three years of extended supervision as a result of a July 2020 incident. 26-year old Jordan Kemper was sentenced Wednesday by Dodge County Judge Kristine Snow.

The sentence stems from the July incident of last year where Kemper became angry and struck a female victim numerous times in his residence, leaving visible bruising, and dragging her by her ankle and leg.

While in custody in the Dodge County Jail, Kemper convinced another inmate to let Kemper use his ID number to make a phone call. The call he made was to the victim he had severely beaten just a month earlier. Kemper told the victim she needed to fix the written statement she had given, to tell authorities she had lied and that she had caused her own injuries. Kemper said that needed to happen or there would be severe consequences.

Kemper has a lengthy history of violent behavior, and Assistant DA Yolanda Tienstra said “there is no alternative to a lengthy prison sentence.”
