Berlin Murder Suspect Bound Over For Trial

The 33-year-old Berlin man suspected of murdering his estranged wife and her boyfriend in September has been bound over for trial. Nicholas Tunistra was in Green Lake County Court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing. He is suspected of murdering Melissa Tunistra and Justin Daniels, both 28-years-old, at their apartment building in Berlin. He was an initial person of interest in their shooting deaths, but was initially released. He was arrested after further investigation led to enough probable cause to charge him. Nicholas and Melissa Tunistra had filed for divorce the week leading up to the murder. The shootings occurred the night of September 27th.
