Biden Names Kamala Harris As VP Running Mate

They spent a great deal of time sparring on stage during the debates. Now, she’s been chosen as former Vice President Joe Biden’s VP pick. Harris had challenged Biden as far back as the very first presidential primary back in June of 2019. Biden was looking for somehow who help push through a number of initiatives he’s looking to enact should he be elected as the next President of the United States.

Harris has served as a Senator from California since 2017. She was also elected Attorney General of California in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. Harris, in her role as senator, has supported healthcare reform, removing cannabis as a controlled substance, the banning of assault weapons and progressive tax reform, among other platforms. Biden had said his intent was to pick a female as running mate in his attempt to win the White House. Now that his running mate has been named, we will wait to see what, if any, uptick is seen in the current polls.
