Bob Haase’s Another Can of Worms

Things are going to get dirty?

When I say that things are going to get dirty I am talking politics and campaigning for the coming elections.  It has started already and it is going to get a whole lot worse.  The reason I know this is that we have proven in the last few years that the person that spends the most money and the person that runs the dirtiest campaign usually wins.  It is not based on who the most qualified candidate is.

It seemed like everyone you talked to during the last major elections was fed up with how each candidate was bad mouthing the other and how dirty things were getting.  They spent very little time telling the people what and how they were going to do things.  They said they had a plan but they didn’t tell us very much about it.  It seemed like the only plan they really had was to tell how bad the other candidates were.

Don’t blame the candidates for doing this because it is our fault … not theirs.  We are the ones that go to the polls and elect the candidate that spends the most money and runs the dirtiest campaign.  This has been proven election after election that the person with the dirtiest campaign wins.  If we voted for the candidate that ran the cleanest campaign and actually provided some details about what they stood for,  we could change this.  As long as we not only accept what is going on but support it by the way we vote things will never change and probably get worse.

I think it would be great if the candidates actually told the people what they stood for and provided some details about how they were going to change things.  Saying I have a plan to bring needed jobs to Wisconsin says nothing.  Saying in detail how you plan on doing this is much more difficult and the people might find parts of their plan that they didn’t like.  How can anyone object to a plan that nobody knows nothing about.

We are the only ones that can change this.  We need to tell all the candidates regardless of what party they represent that we are fed up with dirty politics and want some details about what they stand for.  We need objective and detailed information so we can go to the polls and elect the best qualified candidate, not the one that ran the dirtiest campaign.
