Body of Missing Winnebago County Man Found

The body of a missing 24-year old man from Winnebago County
has been found.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says they found the
body of Austin Cottrell in the Town of Black Wolf Monday morning when they had
resumed their search. Cottrell was first reported missing around 12:30 Sunday
afternoon, more than 12 hours after he was last seen in the area of Stonewood
Court. Authorities say Cottrell was on foot, and did not seem dressed for the weather
– wearing only a pullover, T-shirt and jeans.

On Monday, officials asked people who live or own property
in southeastern Winnebago County and northern Fond du Lac County to help find
Cottrell.

Authorities say an autopsy will be conducted, but at this
time Cottrell’s death is not found to be suspicious.
