Body Pulled From River Is Missing FDL Man

Fond du Lac Police recovered the body of a 37-year old male from the Fond du Lac River last night.

FDL PD was called just before 7:00 p.m. Friday, to the 9^th St. Bridge, by the Aquatic Center, for reports of a body floating in the river. Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue assisted in recovering the male. The victim was pulled from the river and pronounced dead at the scene by the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The body was positively identified as a 37-year old Fond du Lac man who had been reported missing Thursday. Preliminary investigation indicates no obvious signs of foul play.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

The name of the deceased has not been released to the public, and the matter remains under investigation.
