Bonack, Elliott Set To Retire End Of Month

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office will see another longtime member of its staff retire at the end of the month, as Sergeant Jeff Bonack’s last day with the department is December 28th.  Bonack, referred to by his colleagues as the Silver Fox, started with the Sheriff’s Office as a part-time correctional deputy in 1988, and spent time as a patrol deputy before being promoted to Sergeant. Bonack tells KFIZ News that it’s been a great experience working with the men and women of the Sheriff’s Office.

“I’ve probably been a sergeant 15-16 years. I’ve been on days for about for about 5-6 years, on day shift as the day shift sergeant. It’s been good to me, I have no complaints. It’s been a good career, but it’s time to move on, kind of a turn the page, next chapter of life.”

Bonack is joined by Carmen Elliott, the Process Server for the Sheriff’s Office, in retirement later this month.
