Bond Conditions Modified For Man Accused Of Killing Infant In FDL

Fond du Lac County Judge Dale English this week granted a change in bond conditions for the 29-year-old Bellwood, Illinois man suspected of killing a 14-month-old baby boy. The judge will allow Daniel Griffin to have contact with his child as long as he’s in custody. Griffin is currently being held in the County Jail on a $1 million cash bond. He’s facing charges for a July 7th incident at the Maplewood Commons Apartments in Fond du Lac that led to the toddler’s death and serious injuries for his twin brother.  Griffin allegedly stood on the baby’s chest and hurt the other infant.  The baby’s 24-year-old mother, Airrealle Smart is also facing charges. A 7-day jury trial has been scheduled for Griffin next March.
