Bond Increased For Man Who Allegedly Aided Fox Lake Murder Suspect

Destitute and fearing retribution a 57-year-old Fox Lake man facing a charge for allegedly aiding a murder suspect has gotten a bond modification. The lawyer for Vernon Mickey requested the change and a Dodge County judge granted it increasing the bond from a signature bond to $10,000 cash. Mickey called police the day after Sesalie Dixon was murdered. Dixon’s boyfriend, 36-year-old LaVerne Ware Jr. has been charged with her murder. Ware’s mother, who is also Mickey’s girlfriend and Mickey both face aiding a felon charges. Mickey will be back in court Thursday for a preliminary hearing.
