Bond Set At $300,000 Cash For FDL Murder Suspect

The cash bond for a Fond du Lac woman suspected of shooting her husband to death has been increased to $300,000. With Eve Nance now facing a 1st degree intentional homicide charge Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney asked for a $1 million bond and public defender Margaret Vinz countered by asking for a $5,000 cash bond. A packed courtroom this morning including Rodney Emerson a friend of the victim Timothy Nance listened with interest. Emerson felt the bond amount was sufficient. He says the Nance’s daughter Tamika has lost her father and her mother is jailed. He says people on both sides of the family have to come together for her interests. When Eve Nance was originally arrested on hiding a corpse and obstruction charges her bond was set at $100,000. Her bond conditions will continue including having no contact with her sister Tina Ewell who was released from custody Monday. A preliminary hearing is set for December 12th.
