Bond Set for Oshkosh Man Charged in Death of Infant

Bond is set at a quarter of a million dollars ($250,000) for an Oshkosh man charged for
allegedly causing the death of his seven-week-old son. Cory Lyons faces a count
of first-degree reckless homicide, after admitting he shook the child last
week.

According to the criminal complaint, the mother left for work and left
the child with Lyons.
He later called her, saying the child wasn’t breathing properly. After changing
his story multiple times, Lyons
finally admitted to causing the injuries.

He reportedly told investigators that
he shook the child, yelling for it to stop cring – and the child’s head snapped
back and came forward. An autopsy shows the child died from brain injuries.

Lyons is set to return to
court for a preliminary hearing next week Thursday.
