Bridenbaugh Honored For Long Service To The City Of FDL

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue and City officials honored Launne Bridenbaugh for her 37 ½ years of service to the City. She retires on Friday. Fire Chief Peter O’Leary says she has been his right hand person for the past eight years working as his assistant, but prefers to remain in the background. He says despite that she has been important to their success. Chief O’Leary says anyone who questions whether working for the City is worthwhile should talk to Bridenbaugh about her longevity with the City. Bridenbaugh started out in the City Clerk’s Office. She says she enjoyed the ceremony fire department officials staged for her Monday, which featured cake and a chance to visit with current and former employees including former firefighter George Casper who is over 100 years old.
